SCEDD Provides Income-Eligibility Oversight for specific

Rental Housing projects across the Region

The listed rental housing projects were funded in part by the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund (NAHTF) in partnership with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, their respective municipality, and South Central Economic Development District, Inc. (SCEDD). Communities worked with SCEDD to create a competitive NAHTF application and were awarded grant funds to offset the full development costs of creating new rental housing units.


All rental units have a tenant income-eligibility application process. Eligibility is based on income qualifications at or below 100% or 120% Area Median Income, as defined annually by HUD guidelines for their respective county (see maximum household income by household size below). Only applications completed in full will be considered on a first-come first-serve basis based on advertised open units. Upon selection for a rental unit, the applicant must complete an online Nebraska RentWise training course and provide proof of completion certificate.
