SCEDD is about assisting Businesses and Communities.

The South Central Economic Development District is a consortium of thirteen rural Nebraska counties who see improving rural economies as a regional rather than purely local issue. For these counties, the South Central Economic Development District (SCEDD) is the resource businesses and communities rely on for advice and connections to programs designed to help businesses grow and insure community sustainability.

The South Central Economic Development District exists to develop and promote a positive economic climate which supports regional growth.

SCEDD’s regional approach to rural economic development addresses two key aspects, community development and business development.

Community development fosters desirable, sustainable communities – the kind of places people want to visit, live, own a business, raise their families, retire. Business development concentrates on activities that help create, strengthen and expand businesses which in turn strengthen and contribute to desirable, sustainable communities.
SCEDD’s staff is commited to helping you find the answers you seek and connecting you to the proper resources.  Ask us… we can help!
