SCEDD is about assisting Businesses and Communities in
South Central Nebraska
The South Central Economic Development District is a consortium of thirteen rural Nebraska counties who see improving rural economies as a regional rather than purely local issue.
For these counties, the South Central Economic Development District (SCEDD) is the resource businesses and communities rely on for advice and connections to programs designed to help businesses grow and insure community sustainability.
We are especially interested in helping projects in our region that:
- Create sustainable communities
- Make existing businesses stronger
- Help entrepreneurs get started in business
- Increase housing opportunities
- Encourage tourism in the region
If you have ideas, we want to talk. If you have problems, we want to hear from you. If you want expert advice – no matter what the topic – we can point you in the right direction. In addition to a large network of contacts at local, state and federal agencies, SCEDD can assist with a wide variety of projects and enterprises for businesses and communities.
You see, we think the rural lifestyle we practice here in South Central Nebraska is nothing less than a national treasure, and one well worth saving. So when we help you to live work and play in a rural setting, you’re helping us preserve an entire way of life.
Ask us – we can help!
We can help you develop a vision for the future and turn it into a plan of action. We can help find available funding, help you complete the application and help you administer the grant. We can help you develop the projects and initiatives that create and retain businesses and build sustainable rural communities.
Talk to us. We are here for you.
